The Community Outreach Program

The Outreach Program at Indian River Club is supported by both the golf community and residential communities of the Indian River Club.

The Head, Heart and Hands Community Outreach Program of Indian River Club has its own Board of Directors who manage not only the overall strategy of the program but also develop and implement specialized activities focused on the needs of the Treasure Coast community.

HEAD Program

The goal of our HEAD Program is to develop a deeper understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities that exist within the larger community. We have created a monthly forum, Speaker Series scheduled for Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 PM at the Indian River Clubhouse.

The HEART Program

In order to support our community through philanthropic giving as a community, we have developed our HEART Program. Through the generosity of our golf members, residents and The Indian River Community Foundation (IRCF) “fostering” program we will fund the Indian River Club Outreach Foundation to accept and approve grants. Grant applications from non-profit organizations will be evaluated and approved through a local advisory board.

The HANDS Program

Our HANDS Program provides Indian River Club residents and members an opportunity to help the larger Treasure Coast community through volunteer projects. These include special projects with local non-profit agencies such as "Snowbird" food drop-off, used luggage collection and a volunteer corps at our local elementary school. Seventy-three volunteers currently serve as classroom assistants, yearbook editors, gardeners, coaches, greeters, and as needed special projects at Indian River Academy. We arrange visits to local non-profit agencies to identify current volunteer activities, matching desires and skills to opportunities, both as individuals and the Indian River Club community as a whole.
